Obsidian Marble Set

From$148

The Materials

Three materials.
One intention.

Every coaster begins as raw material — chosen for how it ages, how it feels under a cold glass, and how it looks the morning after.

Close-up of amber and obsidian resin being poured into a circular mold, layers of pigment visible

48h

cure time

Poured by hand, no two alike.

Molten Resin

Each pour is timed to the second. Pigment is introduced in layers — amber, obsidian, raw cream — then sealed under a flat-polished dome that catches light the way a still pool does.

Marble slab being hand-cut along natural veining, raw stone texture visible

12mm

thickness

Quarried. Scored. Finished.

Hand-Cut Marble

Sourced from a single quarry in Vermont. Each slab is hand-scored along the natural vein, so the break follows the stone — never forced. The underside stays raw.

Kiln-dried walnut tray with routed channels holding marble coasters, warm wood grain visible

6mo

seasoned

Warm. Dense. Permanent.

Kiln-Dried Walnut

American black walnut dried at 8% moisture content. Routed with a 2mm channel that holds each coaster in place — so the set stays composed even when the evening doesn't.

Amber resin being poured into circular mold, layers swirling

The Process

Poured slowly.
Set deliberately.

The resin is mixed at exactly 24°C. Pigment is introduced in three separate pours — each one given 20 minutes to settle before the next. The result is depth, not decoration.

"Gifted 14 sets to clients this quarter. Not a single person thought it was a corporate gift. That's the point — it doesn't feel like one."

"On our registry instead of a third blender. Best decision we made. People actually told us they were excited to pick a coaster set."
